FTTH Conference 2026: Three days, three photographers, continuously updated images

For the FTTH Council Europe, we covered workshops, keynotes, panels, the exhibition and side events at ExCeL London. Picdrop galleries structured in advance around the programme were updated continuously during the event – enabling immediate communications on LinkedIn and other channels.

Arrival & Orientation

Three event days begin long before the first keynote.

Registration, wayfinding, branding and first encounters create the visual opening of the story and provide a clear context for subsequent communications.

Long-standing collaboration

From Berlin via Amsterdam to London

Our collaboration with the FTTH Council Europe began in Berlin in 2024, continued in Amsterdam in 2025 and moved to London in 2026.

The recurring assignment is a major advantage for production: the team knows the format, communication objectives and relevant subjects. Detailed shot lists are therefore unnecessary, and the photographers can respond independently to programme changes and current priorities.

The FTTH Conference combines a professional congress, exhibition and networking. In London, a workshop day, two conference days, a large trade fair and exclusive side events came together. The coverage therefore had to be not only comprehensive, but above all structured and fast.

The challenge

Parallel programmes and communications within minutes

Six workshops took place simultaneously on the first day. On days two and three, three panels ran in parallel while the exhibition, networking and VIP formats also had to be documented.

The opening day was particularly time-critical: keynotes in the main auditorium sometimes followed at ten-minute intervals. All three photographers worked together in the room for these programme items. The communications team received the first edited images approximately six to eight minutes after a speech began. For regular panels lasting around 60 minutes, an initial selection was available in the relevant gallery after roughly 30 minutes.

Time-critical delivery

Picdrop structure before the first shutter release

Galleries were created in advance by day, stage and programme item. During the conference, edited images could therefore be placed directly in the correct location.

Workshops, Panels & Keynotes

Stage programme across several rooms – as one coherent visual story.

Wide auditorium views, strong speaker images, audience reactions and event details were combined to show both individual programme items and the scale of the conference as a whole.

Our solution

One team, clearly assigned roles and a consistent visual style

Outside the time-critical stage moments, the team divided its attention between panels, the exhibition and networking. Responsibilities were continually coordinated according to the programme.

Specialised, centrally coordinated editing ensured that the work of all three photographers appeared as one coherent story. The communications team could select images quickly without having to reconcile different visual styles or inconsistent file structures.

Exhibition & Networking

Technology, conversations and encounters beyond the stages.

The exhibition required a different photographic rhythm from the conference programme: overviews, product demonstrations, professional conversations and spontaneous encounters had to be captured comprehensively alongside the panels.

Images in immediate use

From the shutter directly into ongoing LinkedIn communications.

Almost every keynote and numerous panels were accompanied by dedicated posts. Additional posts covered the exhibition, networking and individual event days. The examples show public posts by the FTTH Council Europe using images from the live-updated galleries.

Result

2,000 to 3,000 images – ready to use immediately and clearly organised.

Ongoing selections were available during the event for social media and current communications. At the same time, the complete coverage documented all essential stage, exhibition and encounter situations.

The straightforward, independent collaboration is especially valued: experience with the event format means relevant images do not need to be specified in minute detail. The team recognises the decisive situations, coordinates itself and provides immediately usable material in a clear structure.
