A public statement at the Brandenburg Gate
A large group photograph that communicates the initiative’s message at a glance.
The key image of the day was created in front of the Brandenburg Gate. The challenge was to arrange a large group clearly within a short time, include the event banner and location legibly, and create an image that could be used immediately for press work and social media.

The context
Five years of the initiative – and the next step towards a broader network.
The “Berlin Against Antisemitism” initiative was launched in 2021 from within the Berlin Partner network. For its fifth anniversary, representatives from business, associations, institutions, politics, civil society and Jewish communities came together.
The photographic coverage was intended not only to document speakers and programme items, but also to make the participants’ shared commitment visible – through encounters, reactions, the group photograph and the atmosphere of an evening that combined dialogue with a clear stance.

Stage programme at AXICA
Speeches, audience and the impact of the venue in one cohesive visual story.
At AXICA, welcoming remarks, speeches and audience reactions alternated throughout the programme. Alongside clear portraits of the speakers, wide views were important to show the distinctive venue, the scale of the event and the shared experience of listening.

Keynote by Joe Kaeser
Reliable coverage of the keynote from a range of perspectives.
To provide an immediately usable selection, we created close portraits and expressive gestures as well as images incorporating the speaker’s name, event design and audience. This allowed the keynote to be used across a variety of communication formats.

More than speeches
Music, encounters and conversations after the official programme.
A musical contribution and the networking that followed added lively, personal images to the selection. As a result, the story reflects not only the official programme but also the conversations and connections that are central to the initiative.

Image delivery during the event
First images ready for immediate use – the complete story delivered before the event ended.
While the programme continued, priority images were selected, edited and delivered. After four hours of coverage, the client had the complete selection at hand – with no subsequent waiting time.
01Identify priorities: The group photograph, welcome and keynote were edited first for ongoing communication.
02Work in parallel: Selection and editing took place during quieter parts of the programme without interrupting the coverage.
03Maintain a consistent edit: The quickly delivered images received the same carefully matched look as the complete event story.
04Deliver everything: By the end of the assignment, all fully edited images had already been delivered to the client.
